A BIT ABOUT US

Hi there, I’m Tom Shipton. When most people were baking sourdough bread at the beginning of the pandemic, I started making scented candles. With the help of my husband, John Epping, my “COVID hobby" turned into a business, and by the fall of 2020, this online store was launched!

When “Rock” (our golden doodle named after a curling rock - not Dwayne Johnson) joined our family seven years ago, John and I decided to blend our last names to create his last name: EPTON which also seemed like a perfect name for this company. 

 

My career as a graphic designer and John being the skip of one of the world’s top curling teams keeps us busy, so our candles are made in small batches. Follow us on Instagram @eptoncandleco for updates and promotions.
